Christmas isn't over til Looney Toonzz says it is

"Christmas In Harlem" - Kanye West feat. Cam'ron, Jim Jones, CyHi Da Prynce, Pusha T, Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, Big Sean & Musiq Soulchild
All star lineup here, great jam for Christmas

"It's A Stick Up" - Blame One
Underground hip hop jam, love the sample and Blame One's flow is superrr nice

"Starry Eyed" - Chris Webby
"Axe Murder" - Chris Webby
"Home Alone (Christmas Dubstep Remix)" - 5oh!
"Skinny Love (Das Kapital Rerub)" - Bon Iver
"Tonight (I'm Lovin' You) (Chuckie Remix)" - Enrique Iglesias feat. Ludacris & DJ Frank E
These five tracks were sent from my man Bobby Nato, first two got some illll flow courtesy of CT's finest Chris Webby, who just released his album "Best in the Burbs." The third one is a freaky Christmas dubstep jam and is dopppeee. The fourth brings a different feel than most of the songs you'll find here, as it is slow and filled with an acoustic sound, but is truly awesome. The fifth is an incredible electro-remix BANGER

"Change" - Tomorrow's Bad Seeds
Sweet reggae jam. Love the sampling

"Odessa (Big Room Mix)" - Starkillers, Dmitry Ko & Smashbox
HEATTTERRRRRR!!!!! Must Download this track, its a bona fide anthem, sickkkkk beat

"Alejandro (Skrillex Club Mix)" - Lady GaGa
Skrillex throws down...HARD. I need to see this man live. Alejandro was probably my favorite pop song from the summer of 2010, and this gives it a whole new look

"Cat Rats" - Skrillex
More Skrillex fire

"Crossover (feat. Katy B)" - Magnetic Man
Magnetic Man is pretty diverse, great dubstep jam here

"Heiress Of Valentina (Alesso Remix)" - Dune
Awesome remix to an awesome song

"Escape (Bloody Beetroots Remix)" - The Toxic Avenger
Another group I need to see live, the Blood Beetroots throw it downnnnn. This one is a HEATER

"Heartbeat" - Nneka
Love the energy here. don't know a lot about Nneka but something tells me she's gonna blow up

"Heavy Artillery" - Excision & Downlink ft. Messinian
This song is BAD ASS. Heavy dubstep here, take me to Whomp City!!

"Lisztomania (Shook Remix)" - Phoenix
Suuuuuper grooooovy remix to an already awesome song. Best remix I've heard of Phoenix to date

"Monster" - Collin McLoughlin ft. Sam Adams
My sister loves this song. It's pretty generic but has a good energy feel to it

"RappaPomPom" - Lil Wayne feat. Junior Reid
Lil Wayne in a reggae jam here. Real nice flow

"Raindrops (Doorly Dubstep Remix)" - Basement Jaxx
UNREAL chill dubstep remix here. So catchy...My friend Tiso, who hates all electronic music and loves country, had it on repeat the other night. Should give you a pretty good idea on how epic it is

"Venus" - Atypicals
Don't know much about these guys, but they have a great sound. Real groovy

"Sweet Dreams" - Avicii
Avicii casually killin' per usual

The next three are some serious dubstep jams

"Night By Night (Project Aspect Remix)" - Chromeo
Love Chromeo, this is a real Banger

"Your Song (Blackmill Dubstep Remix)" - Ellie Goulding
Dubstep + Ellie usually equates to awesome music. This one is no different

"Wonderland (Peace Treaty Dubstep Remix)" - Natalia Kills
Love this song. TAKE ME TO WONDERLANDDDDD

Done With Exams, Time to Parrrttttttyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

"Get Busy" - Saigon
This is an incredible hip hop jam, samples the theme song from the best video game of all time, Mario Bros. (That's "Mario" pronounced like "Mars"...fuck New Jersey/Long Island dbags that say it like "Mary-o")

"Grand Hustle Kings (feat. Young Dro & T.I.) [Prod. by Quincey Jones]" - B.o.B
This song is not new but it is super catchy. Love B.o.B

"Aeroplane (Remix)" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Really diggin this remix. The beginning is kinda slow but about 1 minute into it drops into a super funky slap bassline courtesy of legendary bassist for RHCP, Flea. Dre and Shady's flow fits in real nice

"Black & Yellow pt. 2" - Wiz Khalifa
Already posted part 1 to this song here. This part is more of the same with some new flow courtesy of T-Pain, Fabolous, Young Jeezy, Fabolous & Maino.

"One Trick Pony (feat. SOFI)" - Deadmau5
Heard Deadmau5 was experimenting dubstep. Here is one of his tracks and it doesn't disappoint, he shows he is way more than a "one trick pony"

"Drowning (Avicii Remix)" - Armin Van Buuren
I have already talked about my new obsession with Trance and Armin aka the world's number 1 DJ. Here is a remix done by one of my other favorites, Avicii...Combining these two equates to intense eargasms

"Desert Rain" Edward Maya feat. Vika Jigulina
It's not "Stereo Love," but its close

"Firework (Fred Falke Club Remix)" - Katy Perry
I am in love with Katy Perry. Anyone who saw her performance during the VS fashion show a couple weeks ago knows what I'm talking about. This song, like all of her others, is an instant classic...This Fred Falke Remix makes it even better to party with. For those of you that missed the show, here you go

"I'll Be Missing You (Don't Raise Your Glass)" - Pink vs. Mike Posner vs. P. Diddy vs. Kelly Clarkson vs. Faith Evans & More
Epic mashup here. "Raise Your Glass" by Pink is secretly my favorite song out right now...Mashing it up with the Puff Daddy classic "I'll Be Missing You" and sprinkling in some other dope cuts makes for an incredible track

"Lights! (Potomac Boys Club Remix) (Ellie, Waka, Wale)" - Potomac Boys Club
EPIC remix here

"Lovekiller Bromance (Benji of Sweden Bootleg Mashup)" - Darin vs. Avicii
Another song that features Tim Berg's epic beat from "Bromance." Really feelin this mashup

"Sleep Now In The Fire (BLBCK Remix)" - Rage Against The Machine
This track is a BONERfide HEATERRRRRR. Seriously though...download this track, you will not be disappointed

"Stereo Hands (Edward Maya vs. Waka Flocka)" - The White Panda
Great mashup here of two epic tracks

"Vox Populi" - 30 Seconds To Mars
Different feel here with 30 Seconds To Mars, but I really love this track. Super uplifting, good energy. Slow at first so give it a chance to pick up

That's all folks!! More to come soon..

Humpday Heat

Update: Got the descriptions in for today's heaterzz.

"Make Noise" - AudioDax
AudioDax is a sweet duo that throws down electro heat and raps over it. Really feel good jam right here

"All Of The Lights" - Kanye West
I'm not a huge Kanye fan...but this song is fantastic. Off of his week old album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," it features an absurd lineup which includes Rihanna and Alicia Keys, John Legend, The-Dream, Fergie, Kid Cudi, Elton John on piano, Ryan Leslie, Charlie Wilson, Tony Williams and Elly Jackson. Can't really miss with all those talents

"We Can Have It All (Sigma Remix)" - Danny Byrd
I'm more of dubstep fan than drumb & bass, but this song is phenomenal. I may have to dig deeper to find some more dnb songs that bang as hard as this one

"Red Meat (Bassjackers Remix)" - Dada Life
Dada Life's been killing it lately. Their remix of Dragonette's "Hello" posted here as well as their banger "Unleash The Fucking Dada" posted here is also a bonafide heater. This one's no different, Bassjackers remix makes it really catchy then the beat drops and its pretty filthy. Enjoy

"Replica (Original Mix)" - Afrojack
I am not a huge fan of Afrojack. They have a really unique sound that generally features a really high pitched synth that gets a little old for me. This one however is different. Less high pitched synth and more bass. My kinda jamm

"Oom Pah Pah" - Roboroc
I could not help but laugh the first time I heard this song, I just had to post it. It is a remix of the song "Oom Pah Pah," which is featured in the popular Broadway show "Oliver!" It honestly sounds like old school carnival music at first, something out of "Boardwalk Empire." Then the beat drops and the heavvvvy bass comes in and it turns into a real dirty banger. Like it or not, gotta respect the juxtaposition of carney music and dubstep

"California Supernova (Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg Vs Mr. Hudson ft. Kanye West)" - DJ Maggie Mash
"Dynamite Pressure [Queen & David Bowie vs. Taio Cruz]" - DJ Tripp
These two are superb mashups. I especially like the feel from mashing "Dynamite" and "Under Pressure"...both epic songs

"Arisen (Original Mix)" - Arksun
"Eternity (Armin Van Buuren's Rising Star Remix)" - Alibi
"Runaway (Original Mix)" - Novaline feat. Lisa Rose
The last three are more trance tracks. I really can't get enough of this genre...each song takes you on a journey. it starts slow, builds up, peaks, then drops, then peaks again, etc...truly artful masterpieces. Even if you are impatient, I highly recommend downloading them anyway...once they are on your iTunes you can skip ahead to the good parts if you really want, but with finals and everything coming up, this is the perfect kind of music to study with. No words to get tangled up with, just epic rhythms and beats. Enjoy

A Few Trance Tracks

So my parents recently traded in their chevy suburban for a malibu. I was pretty upset about it until I found out that the malibu has a 2 month free subscription to Sirius Satellite Radio, which includes the channel Electric Area. After driving around in our new malibu all Thanksgiving break and listening to EA, I was introduced to the genre of Trance. After listening to Armin Van Buuren's (who was recently named the world's number one DJ) "State of Trance 5" which was released a week ago, I am officially hooked on it. It is sophisticated, but still makes you want to dance. Many Trance tracks are rather long, but when they peak they are amazing and throw down incredible beats. These tracks are probably not ideal for throwing a small pre game with your buddies. But if you are looking for good, upbeat music ideal for late night dancing, getting work done, or just trying to get jacked up, give these tracks a listen. They won't disappoint.

"Ballanation 04 (Club Mix)" - DJ Dean
Bonafide HEATERRR. This one really bangs...MUST DOWNLOAD

"Speed Rail" - Tiesto
Tiesto is one of world's best known DJ's. Here is some of his finer work

"Out of Darkness" - Fire & Ice
Really fast-paced upbeat track

"In And Out Of Love" - Armin Van Buuren feat. Sharon den Adel
The world's #1 DJ throwing down some heat...This one is probably one of the more commercial-friendly ones, you could throw this on at a pregame fo sho

The next few are from Armin's "State of Trance 5" and are all fire

"Without You (Dub Mix) - Dogzilla
Probably my favorite, download this track

"Touched By The Sun" - Envio
"Legacy (Club Mix)" - Push
"Sail" - Armin Van Buuren
"Exactly (Original Mix)" - John O'Callaghan and Kearney
"Cosmicstring (Original Mix)" - Marcos
"Deep Psychosis (Daniel Kandi's Cure Mix)" - Luke Warner & Mat Lock
Pretty sick video for this one too...

Dank Heaters for Danksgiving

"I Need Air" - Magnetic Man
Great electro feel. This song was huge in the summer over in Europe I don't know why it took so long for me to post it

"Seventeen (Skrillex Remix)" - Casxio
"Just The Way You Are (Skrillex Batboi Remix)" - Bruno Mars
Awesome remixes, Skrillex kills it not as heavy as his stuff usually is but still amazing

"Blue Skies (Flux Pavillion)" - Jamiroquai
Flux Pavillion is straight fire as we have seen, this one is no different. Really feel good dubstep

"California Love (Rusko Remix)" - 2Pac
Amazing remix to an amazing song. Not straight dubstep that Rusko usually drops, but still absolutely amazinggg

"Soldier On (Ruskos F'kin Seagull Remix)" - The Temper Trap
Another Rusko Heater. kinda slow til it drops at around the 0:50 mark...then its just straight fire

"Electro Skank" - Vex Music
Don't know much about Vex Music, but I do know that this song is sweet, gonna be the next "Barbara Streisand"

"Timeflies" - Trey Palms
More Trey Palms flow...kids is killin' it lately

"Malo" - Avicii
Avicii killin' it as usual...I really like the Spanish vocals, makes it pretty exotic

"Never Forget You (Feat. John Legend)" - Lupe Fiasco
Lupe has been on a tear lately. John Legend takes this a good song here and makes it spectacular...really feel good jam

"Stranger In Moscow (Jerome Isma-Ae bootleg)" - Michael Jackson
Great electro/Trance feel to an MJ classic

"Where I'm At (Feat. Eminem) (Prod. By Boi-Ida)" - Lloyd Banks
Hip/hop jam here...Shady's flow is fireeee

Throwdown Thursday is here!!!

Here is the final installment to our countdown to Throwdown Thursday, which as I mentioned is tonight and three of our favorite acts, Pretty Lights, Rebelution, and Bassnectar are all playing tonight in VA. Parts 1 and 2 featured the first two of those three...Today we have for you a few select tracks from my favorite live DJ, Bassnectar. Here's a brief description of Bassnectar from their facebook page

"Bassnectar combines sound and force with weight while spanning the spectrum of sonic style, covering every genre imaginable, and smashing it all into a collision of wobbling, perverted basslines, hypnotic hide-and-seek adventures, and pretty much anything that strikes his fancy. He calls the end product “omnitempo maximalism,” which basically means no rules, no limitations, and no hesitation in fusing the familiar with the strange or the classic with the cutting edge."

Basically, this music throws down super hard. As in the name, it is heavily bass-filled and thus requires sup woofers for ideal listening. This music is not meant for chillin to, it is meant to GET DOWN with, so keep that in mind next time you throw it on at a party. Without further ado...

"Bass Head" - Bassnectar
Ill beat in this one

"Bomb Tha Blocks" - Bassnectar (feat. Persia)
Probably the chillest of the bunch here, this features underground MC Persia. 'Nectar lays down the beat and Persia provides the flow. Straight fire

Cool music vid too, check it out

"Cozza Frenzy (Bassnectar's Mega-Bass Remix)" - Bassnectar
HEAVY ass bass on this one. Bring the subssss

"Here We Go" - Bassnectar
Incredible buildup and drop on this track

"Blow (feat. Kyrian)" - Bassnectar
Awesome beat on this one...real head banger

"Kyrian Bee Bop" - Bassnectar
This is the first dubstep I've ever heard. Pretty simple yet catchy

"LSD" - Bassnectar
Remix of the Beatles classic "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" here. Absolutely absurd what he does to it...so awesome

"Teleport Massive (Remix)" - Bassnectar
Ultra-heater...get nastyyyy

Some more heat

"Bright Lights Bigger City" - Cee Lo Green
Another solid track from Cee Lo, the guy who brought us the hit "Fuck You!" He shows here the he is far from a one-hit wonder

"Something About Us (Shaprece Reprise)" - Daft Punk
Slow Daft Punk jam here, real funky and sweet

"Let Me Take You Out" - Bryan J and Travis Porter
Really upbeat, feel good hip hop on this one

"Hold On" - Knight Riderz
Defintion of BANGER here. Ridiculous beat...Knight Riderz have a crunchy glitchy sound, similar to the Glitch Mob

"Narcotic" - DJ Gollum vs. Basslovers United
Sickkk poppy house track here, really upbeat...good energy all around

"Unleash The Fucking Dada" - Dada Life
House HEATER. This track throws down superrrrr hard

"Westcoastsynthesizerbeachbumgangstermusic (Knight Riderz Remix)" - King Fantastic
The name says it all...this is West Coast Hip Hop/Electronica at its finest

Counting down to Throwdown Thursday, part 1

Our first installment for the countdown to Throwdown Thursday features a few tracks from Pretty Lights. To get a better idea of what Pretty Lights is, here is a description from Jambase.com

"Pretty Lights is the musical vision of the ultra-versatile Colorado based producer Derek Vincent Smith, accompanied in the live setting by drummer, Cory Eberhard. Together these two achieve a raw energy rarely reached in the realm of electronic music.

At a time when music lovers from almost all subcultures and genres are finding common ground in the basic form of bangin' beats, Pretty Lights is giving the people what they want; electro organic cutting-edge party rocking beats that fill venues with energy and emotion and send dance floors into frenzies"

Pretty much sums it up...they throw in a ton of different samples and blend them with the dopest beats to create musical masterpieces. Here are some choice picks

"Finally Moving (Remix)" - Pretty Lights
This track includes a sample of 20th century Gospel/Soul singer Etta James, who has an incredible. Then it throws down a sweet guitar lick, followed by some bangin' beats. This is probably their signature song

"Hot Like Sauce" - Pretty Lights
My personal favorite, this track throws several different voice samples, blending it with some dope beats. It constantly evolves throughout the song and is a true masterpiece. My personal favorite part comes at around the 3:15 mark, when it goes into a glitched out hip hop voice sample that no words can be made out from but still sounds amazing. Go hyphy in dis bitchhhhh

"Up And Down I Go" - Pretty Lights
Starts off a little slow but once the beat drops its amazing. Great dance track

"Let The World Hurry By" - Pretty Lights
A little more laid back than the previous three, which bang pretty hard. This one is suuuuuper groooooovyy

"Total Fascination" - Pretty Lights
This one samples LL Cool J's "Who Shot Ya." Not sure who the vocal sample is at the beginning of the track but she has an incredible voice. This one bangs real harddd

"Fly Away Another Day" - Pretty Lights
This track takes a little longer than some of the others to pick up, but once it does it is absolute fire. at about the 2:40 mark they throw in some glitched out Biggie samples which sounds so fuckin raw

"Final Countdown (Live Mix)" - Pretty Lights
Last New Years Eve, PL threw down this mix counting down to the new year. Derek threw it together last minute and it is absolute fire...it is a remix of the Europe classic "Final Countdown" that was featured in the Rocky series. Up and coming artist Trey Palms raps over this beat in a track we already posted here. Anyway...The first drop is absolutely ridiculous, and then it goes on for about 14 min of straight heat. It's a live mix but the sound quality is superb nonetheless...I would be totally down to come out to the field with this song this year

"Let Em Know It's Time To Flow" - DJ Tip-Z
"She Wants Pretty Lights Babies" - JDubsssss
These last two are mashups that feature beats thrown down by Pretty Lights mashed up with other artists, ideal for those who like more vocals in their music. The first one is the PL track "Let Em Know It's Time To Go" and includes artists like Biggie and Tupac in it. The second is PL's "Aiming At Your Head" mashed up with the Ace of Base classic "All That She Wants." So fucking hotttttt

That's all for part 1...parts 2 and 3 for the countdown to Throwdown Thursday coming soon, stay tooned.....

Jamtronica comin' atcha

So I went to see the Disco Biscuits last night, which for those who don't know is a really sweet jam band/electronic group from Philly who throw down some great jams. They are best heard live, but have a couple catchy studio recorded tracks as well.

"Home Again" - The Disco Biscuits
"On Time" - The Disco Biscuits
Here are two solid album recorded tracks

"Gone Gone Gone" - The New Deal
"Don't Blame Yourself" - The New Deal feat. Feist
These two tracks feature a group called the New Deal. I saw them this past summer at All Good Music Festival. They are similar to tDB in that they are electronically influenced and improvise live and throw down some illllll beats. They are playing here in Charlottesville this Friday and I plan on attending and would encourage others to do the same. The first track has no vocals but throws down an incredible beat that I'm sure many will recognize, and is more indicative of their style when seen live. The second one features Feist as the vocalist and is considerably more pop-influenced, but still throws down pretty hard.

"Hello (Dada Life Remix)" - Martin Solvieg & Dragonette
"Volcano (Zeds Dead Remix)" - Dragonette
BTW Dan Kurtz, the bassist/producer from the New Deal, double times as the producer for the electronic pop group Dragonette. I already posted their track "I Get Around" here. Here are two more hottt tracks from Dragonette

Oh and just a heads up, this week is a big week for concerts around here, between Bisco last night, New Deal on Friday, as well as Bassnectar AND Pretty Lights playing the same night in Richmond this Thursday (such a shame they are playing the same night in the same town but at different venues, I am torn at which one to attend) as well as Rebelution playing Thursday in Charlottesville (another possible option) this week will be rockin'. For that reason I will be posting my favorite tracks from those three acts this week to get ready for Throwdown Thursday. Stay tuned...

Daily Dubstep

"Get The Money" - Pantyraid

Shout out to my friend Ada for this one. Starts off slow but wait for the drop, its money (literally). Pretty chill for a dubstep track but awesome nonetheless. As always, crank up your subs for maximum enjoyment.

No Tricks...Just Treats

"Pet Monster" - Breakdown

"When Mr Hyde Killed Dr. Jekyll" - The Phantom's Revenge"

Here are two tracks that take sounds that would sound like they come from an old sci fi film with ghosts and monsters and frankensteins. Kinda spooky/scary but at the same time fun to listen to. Perfect for Halloween time

"Oo La La" - J Randall feat. Akon

Real catchy hip hop

"Free To Be Remix" - LOGGY Ft. Philip Michael & Akon

Don't know much about LOGGY, but this remix absolutely BANGS

"In For The Kill (feat. Kanye West)" - La Roux

Another remix of this amazing song, this time Kanye kills it with his rappin

"The Show Goes On" - Lupe Fiasco

MUST DOWNLOAD!!!! Lupe samples Modest Mouse's classic "Float On" in this one, really feel good hip hop, great jam

"Out Of Time" - Pretty Lights

"Gold Coast Hustle" - Pretty Lights

Rounding off for today are my two favorite tracks from the latest EP released by Pretty Lights, "Glowing In The Darkest Night". For those that don't know, Derek Vincent Smith aka Pretty Lights is an unbelievable DJ/Producer from Boulder, CO. He is hands down my favorite DJ to listen to on a daily basis (I made the claim earlier that Bassnectar is my favorite, the truth is Bassnectar throws down the hardest and is best seen live, while PL is good all day all the time). There is no actual genre that PL's music fits into, its got an electronic/hip hop feel, and he often samples rap, hip hop, r&b, soul, funk, etc. into his music. Anyway, there is no denying that Pretty Lights is hotter than fire, the man is straight LAVA. Yeah I said it...lava. Enjoy this one...at some point in the near future I will post more Pretty Lights including his older tracks

PS if you like what you hear from Pretty Lights, you can go to his website http://prettylightsmusic.com/ and download all of his music...fo FREE

Peace Out ya'll

Thirsty Thursday calls for tasty jamzz

"Perfect Stranger (Steve Angello Remix)" - Magnetic Man feat. Katy B.

This track features Steve Angello, who makes up 1/3 of the Swdish House Supergroup commonly known as Swedish House Mafia. The drop in this is incredible, great sound to compliment Katy B's phenomenal vocals

"The Island (Steve Angello, AN21 & Max Vangeli Remix)" - Pendulum

More Angello Fire

"Eyedive (ft. Brice Fox and Lauren Vogel)" - Quincy Kwalae

More electro/rap (even some r&b) hybrid, this one brings the heat in a serious way

"Know Your Name" - Wiz Khalifa

The latest from WK, guy is unstoppable

"Music Sounds Better With You (Eat More Cake Remix)" - Stardust

Great remix of an already amazing jam, starts out with a piano intro and turns into an electro BANGER

"Whats My Name (Feat. Drake)" - Rihanna

So apparently Drake and Rihanna are or have been hooking up or something...this track makes it pretty obvious that they have some sort of love affair going on.

"Breaking Free (Original Mix)" - Milkman

MUST DOWNLOAD HOUSE HEATER!!! Seriously though this is going to be the next electronic song everyone hears at parties, on the same level as "One" and "We No Speak Americano"....expect remixes in the future as well

Oh and here is a pretty dope music vid to go along with it

Daily Dubstep

One of the most unique dubstep tracks I've ever heard, done by the only female dubstep artist I've ever heard of, Alexis K

"What I've Done (Alexis K Remix)" - Linkin Park

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

A Few Toonzz for Toonzzday, enjoy

"Bonafied Lovin (Les Petits Pilous Remix)" - Chromeo

Love Chromeo...solidd remix here

"Ray Ban Vision" - A-Trak feat. Cyhi Da Prynce

This song is straight up FIRE. I think we are gonna be seeing more of this in the future...electronic producers throwing down ill beats with rappers rapping over them

"L.A. Lights" - Grum

Hot jam here. Props to B Pomp for sending me this one

"The Mexican (Yolanda B Cool & DCUP Remix)" - Deekline & Tim Healey ft. Babe Routh

I'm sure you all remember YBC & DCUP from "We No Speak Americano." Here's another sickkk dance track they remixed

"Hot Right Now (Bassnectar Remix)" - Amp

"Encore (feat. Ill Gates)" - Bassnectar

My man BASSNECTAR released his latest EP today. Here's two of my favorites from it...the man just straight kills it.

BTW I am checking out Bassnectar in Richmond Nov. 4...Anyone interesting in coming along for the ride of your life here is a link to tickets for it. $21 for the most insane night of your life. Anyone who has seen Bassnectar knows what I'm talking about...for those of you haven't, here is what I experienced this past summer at All Good Music Festival

Daily Dubstep

Missed the DD yesterday, had pulled an all nighter finishing a midterm paper...This track should make up for it though, personally I am a huge fan of classic rock/Jimi Hendrix, so mixing that with some dubstep equates to a totally original, amazing track. Enjoy this one

"Voodoo Child (Riderz Remix)" - Jimi Hendrix

Thursday, October 14, 2010

Daily Dubstep

Don't forget about the DD of course...got two great ones great one for you today

"Keep The Fire (Bar9 Remix)" - Goldhawks

"The Recluse (Nero Remix)" Plan B

Just when you thought we were finished...

Bonus jamzz comin' in hott, its three absolute HEATERZZ from DJs from Mars. These guys do mashups that turn into incredible energy-filled bangers. These three tracks are seriously awesome. Enjoy

"If We Ever Meet all Night Long (DJs From Mars Remix)" - Timbaland ft Katy Perry vs ACDC

"Rude Boy (DJs From Mars FM Rmx)" - UB40 vs. Rihanna

"Viva la Vida vs Bad Romance (DJs From Mars Remix)" - Lady Gaga vs Coldplay

We're Baaaaacccckkkkkk

After taking a week or so hiatus, we here at Looney Toonzz are back with some serious heat, just in time for the weekend. Without further a do...

"Fuck You! (Le Castle Vania Remix)" - Cee Lo Green

This very well may be better than the original. Great remix.

"Kites" - Geographer

Really cool band, the lead singer has an incredible voice. Solidd jam, light electro feel

"Barbara Streisand (Original Mix)" - Ducksauce

"C'Mon" - Tiesto feat. Diplo

These next two are electronic gems I have been holding out on waiting for the right time to post. The first has a super feel-good vibe and is pretty catchy and unique. The second has an absurdddd buildup and drop and then bangs real hardd

"Don't Worry Be Happy Freestyle (Bobby McFerrin Cover)" - Chiddy Bang

Great freestylin' here by Chiddy Bang. These guys are kilinnn it lately

"Miracles [Bruno Mars vs. Michael Jackson vs. Gnarls Barkley vs. B.O.B. vs. Survivor vs. many more]" - Norwegian Recycling

Amazinggg mashup here. Kinda like United State of Pop 2009, except its actually good. Whether or not you're into mashups, you will love this song

"1901 (D.L.I.D. Remix)" - Phoenix

"Long Distance Call (25 Hours A Day Remix)" - Phoenix

Like I said before, Phoenix is a sweeeet band and has been growing on me lately. Here's two remixes of some of their best tracks

"Nothin On But The Radio" - Lady Gaga

What can I say, Lady Gaga is a guilty pleasure of mine...weird as she may be, I love her music. I haven't heard this one all over the radio yet but I'm sure that will happen soon. Expect remixes in the future

"Nucky Thompson" - Chris Webby

Had to post this one...Not only is Nucky Thompson from HBO's latest hit series "Boardwalk Empire" an absolute boss, but my man Webby here hails from CT and this freestyle is fire. He takes shots at Sammy Adams, Fresh New Tracks, and Boston Barstool...203 representt

"Only Girl (In The World)" - Rihanna

Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you the next DKE late night get-down-on-the-dflo-dive-bomb-creepin anthem. Haven't found any really sweet remixes of this song...yet. Maybe thats because it David Guetta on the beats and the man is straight fire. Anyway, the beat on this jam is pretty awesome but Rihanna's lyrics are pretty cheesy

"Safe And Sound Remix" - Rebelution feat. Zion I

The original was great...this remix might be even better.

"Santorini" - Trey Palms feat. Rachel

Trey Palms may very well be the best white college rapper on the scene right now...just wait for this dood to blow up

"She Owns The Night" - Far East Movement

Far East Movement showing here that "Like A G6" was not a one hit wonder...greatt party jamm

"Steppin Up (Religion Remix)" - M.I.A.

M.I.A. is a total weirdo, but she occasionally makes some decent music and this is definitely an example of that. Religion Remix makes this one a straight BANGER

"That's My Name" - Akcent

Similar sound heard in "Stereo Love"by Edward Maya, real good energy here

"Walking On A Dream (DJ Philistine Remix)" - Empire Of The Sun

I've heard a lot of remixes of this song but this is by far the best. Thanks Ghit for showing me this one

"What You Say" - The Game

Really like what The Game does with the Loon Classic

"Whoopwhoop (Blink 182 vs. Lil Wayne)" - The Abrahammer

Short and sweet, this is an incredible mashup. MUST DOWNLOAD

"Wildstyle Method feat. 40 Love (Radio Edit)" - Bassnectar

Daily Dubstep

More Bassnectar for today...I just couldn't resist. This one doesn't throw down as hard as some of his others, but it is certainly one of his greatest works. Nelly Furtado has a great voice, and combining that with some heavy bass generally leads to seriously awesome music. Check it outt

"Magical World (Bassnectar Remix)" - Nelly Furtado

DJ Kontrol is outta kontrol

So I guess this DJ Kontrol character is some sort of mashup genius...check out these heaterzz

"Hey! (Lil' Jon & DJ Kontrol's Pour Me Anotha ONE Remix)" - Swedish House Mafia vs. Lil' Jon - Lil' Jon & DJ Kontrol Remix

Here he mashes up Swedish House Mafia's Banger "One" (I'm sure all of you have heard this by now) with Lil' Jon...Awesome party jam

"Work It Out Americano (Lil' Jon & DJ Kontrol Mash)" - Yolanda Be Cool & DCup feat. Lil' Jon & Pitbull

DJ Kontrol seems to have a thing mixing the hottest House BANGERZZ with Lil' Jon and other various artists...in this case it's Yolanda Be Cool and DCup's "We No Speak Americano" which is probably the most popular House track at this point in time and pitbull. Perfect party anthem for those who need more than just beats to get downnn

"What A Night (Lil' Jon feat. Claude Kelly vs. Journey)" - DJ Kontrol Remix

And the last one is my personal favorite. It's a mashup between Lil' Jon and Claude Kelly's "What A Night" with the Journey classic "Don't Stop Believing." It brings the incredible energy of "Don't Stop Believing" but mixed with Claude Kelly's incredible vocals and Lil' Jon's crunked out style turns it into an entirely different animal

Oh and be sure to check out the video for the third one...so sickkkkk

SORRY FOR PARTYING

Daily Dubstep

Ohh and I almost forgot...Today's Daily Dubstep is a remix of a song that I got a request for, called "Take Over Control" by Afrojack feat. Eva Simons remixed by Adam F. Songs is fire. Enjoy

"Take Over Control (Adam F Remix)" - Afrojack feat. Eva Simons

Oh and I included the original because it is pretty awesome as well

"Take Over Control (Official Radio Mix)" - Afrojack feat. Eva Simons

Longgg Overdue, part deaux

Here's the second installment of the songs that have been long overdue that I have been meaning to post

"Favorite DJ (Benny Benassi Remix)" - Clinton Sparks

Benassi + Sparks = Fire.

"Fight For You" - Iyaz & Stevie Hoang

I think this song has been out for a while but its pretty awesome nonetheless. Good energy

"Final Countdown (Remix)" - Trey Palms

This guy Trey Palms is a Sam Adamsesque rapper hailing from Balitmore. This remix of Pretty Lights' "Final Countdown Remix" is absolute fire...the rapping does not take away from the excellence that is Pretty Lights. Not gonna be the last time we hear from Trey Palms or PL

"Hold On (produced by Rusko)" - Sam Adams

Here's Sam Adams' take on Rusko's heater, "Hold On" which was already posted here. His latest mixtape includes him rapping over beats thrown down by some of today's hottest electronic DJs and it works out real nice

"Hold Yuh (Major Lazer Remix)" - Gyptian

Really sweet remix...Major Lazer kills it

"Illmerica" - Wolfgang Gartner

Not just a sweet track title, this jam brings the heatt in a major way. Wolfgang Gartner is pure gold

"She Needs Me (Monarchy Remix)" - Fyfe Dangerfield

This is a real feel good song that was remixed into a House beat that throws down real hard. Its kinda long and the build up takes a while, but when the beat drops its amazing

"Shutterbug (Jack Beats Remix) - Big Boi

A lot of you liked the original "Shutterbug," posted here. This is different from the original, turns it into a House BANGER

"Superheroes (WPAHP Remix)" - Daft Punk

Daft Punk truly is amazing...but this We Plants are Happy Plants remix of their song "Superheroes" is definitely better than the original

"Top of the World" - The Cataracs

We first heard from The Cataracs from their collaboration with Far East Movement "Like a G6"...they show here that they are no one hit wonder

"Tweet It (Original Mix)" - Tim Berg, Norman Doray & Sebastian Drums

Tim Berg is fire, this song is long and takes a while to build up but the beat is sickkkk

"Wolfgangs 5th Symphony (Radio Edit) - Wolfgang Gartner

And rounding off for today is this incredible remix of Beethoven's (whatt???) 5th Symphony. This literally blew my mind the first time I heard it. Mixing classical music with House? Unheard of. Wolfgang Gartner is literally a genius

That's all folks

Longgg Overdue

So I've been pretty busy lately with school work and fell behind this week in terms of posting the fire that I know you all love. I know its tough to get by sometimes without your daily dosage of heaterzz...consider this a makeup post.

Your Welcome.

"Stylo (Alex Metric Remix)" - Gorillaz

I heard this song all the time last spring, and could never find it til now...its definitely an example of a remix being better than the original. Shout out to my man Fortch for showin me this

"Lisztomania (Der Die Das Remix)" - Phoenix

Phoenix is a band that has been growing on my lately...Their song "1901" was a pretty big it, if you haven't heard it I'm sure you'll recognize it from this commercial

They're a French Alt-Rock group with a real electro feal, as they have associations with Daft Punk. They have a bassist, vocalist, and two guitarists...no drummer so they throw down the rhythm using electro beats. Anyway, the song above is the latest from Phoenix, "Lisztomania," and Der Die Das gives more of a house take on it...real nice beat

Oh and if you haven't downloaded "1901" yet, here it is "1901" - Phoenix

"Apollo (2010)" - We Plants Are Happy Plants

We Plants Are Happy Plants (WPAHP) is a remixer/producer out of Budapest. Needless to say, he is hott fire and throws down some sick beats...he also is into throwing in cuts of people talking from movies, trying to sound really profound and philosophical, like he does in this one "Apollo (2010)." In this one there is about 40 seconds of a cut from a film, and then the beat kicks in and it is spectacular. Different kinda heater here...just as fantastic

"Swimming With Sharks" - Hoodie Allen

Heres my favorite off Hoodie Allen's mixtape "Pep Rally." Already posted the video here when the mp3's weren't cooperating last week...feel good song great to throw on at a party

"I Like It (Chuckie Remix)" - Enrique Inglesias

Probably gonna get some heat for posting Enrique Inglesias but oh well, this song is awesome and this remix is pretty dope

"Bass head (King Fantastic Remix)" - Bassnectar

"Teleport Massive (Remix)" - Bassnectar

Bassnectar is my favorite DJ/Producer at this moment in time. Here are two of his pieces of work, the first one being a remix of his track "Bass Head" which has King Fantastic rapping over it. A lot of you enjoyed the King Fantastic Remix of Glitch Mob's "Drive It Like You Stole It" which was posted earlier here...so I figured you would enjoy this as well. The second one is one of his many Heaterzz, so strap yourself in and enjoy the ride

"Bromance (The Love You Seek) (Avicii's Vocal Edit)" - Tim Berg

This is Avicii's latest edition of his banger "Bromance" which I had posted the original to here, this version has vocals added to it, and is absolute fire, it still has the same energy and feel as the original...the vocals don't detract from it at all. All Hail Avicii!!!

"Burn It Up (Radio Edit)" - Raaban & Evana

Been hearing a lot of this song lately, real nice jam

"California Gurls (Algeronics Remix)" - Katy Perry

I'm pretty sure every girl this summer had a facebook photo album entitled "So Hot We'll Melt Your Popsicle" in one form or another...and for good reason, "California Gurls" will go down as perhaps the best shotgunning song of all time. Here's a sweet remix of Katy Perry's classic, hopefully it'll bring back some of that summer magic

"Dirty Girl" - Nicos Gun

And rounding up for this post is a super groovy track...couldn't find much info on this group but I'm liking what I'm hearing

That's all for now...more to come laterr

"Runnin Through My Head (Whole Z Remix)" - Whole Z

Warning - WEEZY OVERLOADD

So our beloved Dwayne Carter is still incarcerated, but he has managed to put out a mixtape called "I Am Not A Human Being"...and its straight fire

Chances are you've heard this single "Right Above It" as it was uberpopular this summer. If not, then get the fuck out from the rock you've been hiding under

"Right Above It" - Lil Wayne ft. Drake

And here are a bunch of other fresh tracks from the self proclaimed Greatest Rapper Alive

"Hold Up (Prod. by The Olympicks)" - Lil Wayne

"What's Wrong With Them (Prod. by Infamous)" - Lil Wayne

"With You (feat. Drake)" - Lil Wayne

This one has a real nice R&B feel to it...probably my favorite on the album

"Popular (Prod. by Drumma Boy)" - Lil Wayne

You might recognize the first verse of this from last year's hit "Bedrock"...but its got a fresh beat and the rest of it is all new

Daily Dubstep - Must Have Heater!!

Today's DD is an absolute BANGER...crank up the bass and enjoy

"It's Bigger Than Hip Hop (Dubbed Out Remix)" - Dead Prez & WTF!?

It's WTF!? remixing Dead Prez's classic "It's Bigger Than Hip Hop"

Annnnddddd We're Back!!

The file hosting website I've been using, mydatanest.com, has been down for a couple days but its up again so that means its time to bring the heatt.

These next two jams go out to the ladiezz...ma gurl LT tipped me off on the original, called "I Get Around" by Dragonette. The second is my favorite of the two, it's just a remix of the same track done by Juggernaut. Both are kinda girly...but firee nonetheless. Enjoy

"I Get Around" - Dragonette

"I Get Around (Juggernaut Remix" - Dragonette

Sorry for the Inconvenience

My file hosting website is down right now, and I have been unable to add any new material....I will get this figured out asap and have the mp3s working once again

for now, enjoy this jam, fresh off Hoodie Allen's mixtape

Hot new Rihanna teaming up with David Guetta

It seems like every artist these days who's struggling to make the airwaves has found the recipe for success...Go to French House producer extraordinaire David Guetta. Akon's latest project with DG can be found here

Anyway, Rihanna has jumped onto the Guetta Train and it appears she may be making a comeback as a result, this song is fire

"Who's That Chick" - Rihanna

This song is gonna blow up, so enjoy the ride...you heard it here at LT first

Chiddy Chiddy Bang Bang

"The Good Life" - Chiddy Bang

"Last Ones Standing (Doctor P Remix)" - Example

Already posted a Benny Benassi Remix of this song, which is more of House-style take on it, but equally as awesome.  Check it out here

"Monster (Camo & Krooked Remix)" - Professor Green

Another heater...womp womp womp

New Akon Firee

Heard this the other day, I have a feeling it's gonna blow up, it's David Guetta on the beats with Akon and Clinton Sparks on the vocals, this is gonna be the next big song, you heard it here first..

"Take A Chance" - Akon feat. Clinton Sparks

Aoki throws down equally hard in this one

"In For The Kill (Glitch Mob Remix)" - La Roux

More Avicii...dood kills it

"My Feelings For You Short Radio Edit" - Avicii & Sebastien Drums

Sickkkkkkk remix of Far East Movement's "Like a G6." Wait for this one to build up...it'll surely get panties droppinn

"Like a G6 (Petros T. Remix)" - Far East Movement feat. The Cataracs and Dev

Kinda girly but it throws down a dankk beat

"Kiss Me Back (Cry Tonight) (Extended Mix)" - Kim Sozzi

And Kugs and my personal favorite...don't know much about Remedy or Manu but I like what I'm hearing, I'll be on the lookout for these two for sure. This song apparently is huge over in Europe, I'm guessing we'll be hearing some remixes of it pretty soon...but for now just enjoy, its a bonafide HEATER

"Give Me A Sign" - Remedy feat. Manu

Daily Dubstep

Don't really know much about Pantyraid, but whoever it is has a great alias and drops even sickerr dubstep beats. Check out this one called "Beba"

"Beba" - Pantyraid

Been listening to this a lot in the past couple days

This electro duo calls themselves Voltage and hails from Australia. I found this the other day and have not stopped listening to it...no words but its uberfunky/heady whatever you wanna call it, just a sickk chill beat

BONUS HEATER!!!

Katy Perry has been on fire lately, her latest hit "Teenage Dream" can be heard literally EVERYWHERE. This Kaskade remix is a total banger, props to my man B Pomps for throwin it on the other day

"Teenage Dream (Kaskade Club Remix)" - Katy Perry

-DJ Dood out

West Coast Stylin'

Here are two jams out of the west coast, the first is "Soul of a Coke Dealer" by Andre Nickatina, and is pretty much just west coast rap at its finest.

"Soul of a Coke Dealer" - Andre Nickatina

This next one is a Glitch Mob remix of STS9's "Beyond Right Now." Both groups have origins from Cali, and pretty much epitomize west coast style electro-funk. No lyrics or anything in this one...just funky ass beats and heavy drops with that glitchy style that the 'Mob is known for. Can you say heaaattteerrrr??

"Beyond Right Now (Glitch Mob Remix)" - STS9

Daily Dubstep

For those of you that don't know, Rusko is a dubstep legend from the UK, here is one of his more recent gems, this won't be his last time on DD

"Hold On (Subfocus Remix)" - Rusko feat. Amber Coffman

The Hottest Toonzz just in time for the weekend

"A Life Worth Living (Jakwob Remix)" - Alan Pownall

Already posted this once for daily dubstep here. Can't get enough of it

"Beyond This" - Drake and Kanye West

Drake and Kanye sample Vertical Horizon's "You're a God" in this. It's a real fresh sound they kill it

"Last Ones Standing (Benny Benassi Remix)" - Example

Originally posted this song here...Like I said it's got real good energy and a sick buildup and drop. I really like the vocals Example bring as well...Benassi killin it once again, gotta love those Eyetalian DJs!!

"Fuck You!" - Cee-Lo Green

Fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. Real jazzy and upbeat, just a fun jam. Who knew saying "fuck you" over and over again could feel so good??

"Shutterbug" - Big Boi feat. Cutty

Already posted this song here. Scotty Storch, the producer for this song, is a bonafide genius

"Feel Good" - Chip Tha Ripper

Really cool toon with Chip tha Ripper rhyming over a reggae beat

"Bromance (Avicii's Club Mix)" - Tim Berg

This is the song that opens up for the Tomorrowland Video. I've said it once and I'll say it again, anything Avicii touches turns to gold...or in this case incredible hot beats

"Don't Turn the Lights On (Aeroplane Remix)" - Chromeo

Chromeo just came out with their latest album and its fire, we'll be seeing more of them. I love what Aeroplane does to this though...takes it from being any other song into a BANGER

"Drive it Like You Stole It (King Fantastic Remix)" - Glitch Mob

What I love about this is that it's Glitch Mob's incredible beats fused with rapping...Some people can't handle just the beats and need lyrics to go along with them....that's exactly what this brings to the table. A real solidd jam

"I Need a Dollar Remix" - Big Gigantic

Like a friend of mine once said, Big Gigantic brings that bass down low low low. The duo brings a real fresh taste to an already fantastic sample by Aloe Blacc

"Im In Love" - Alex Gaudino

Simply Awesome

"We No Speak Americano" - Yolanda Be Cool and DCup

Already posted the video for this here. Really catchy beat that gets any party started. Plus, the doods from Jersey Shore love it as well, check it out!!

Love Shakin' on Shakedown Street

So I went to check out Dark Star Orchestra last night, who for those of you that don't know are an incredible Grateful Dead cover band. Needless to say they killed it. But then it got me thinking about a track I heard a while back in the summer but couldn't find anywhere to download it. Well Ladies and Gentleman, here it is...Tommie Sunshine and Figure EC$TACY have made an incredible remix of the GD classic "Shakedown Street." Somewhere upstairs Jerry Garcia is smiling...

Major Lazer gettin it done

Doubling up on the Dubstep today, bringing you two gems remixed by Jakwob. He is some dubmaster out in the U.K. who throws down...HARD. Gotta love the Womps

This first one is already pretty well known...Ellie Goulding's "Starry Eyed" remixed to perfection.

This next one is not as popular, but I would argue that it's just as good if not better. Really like the energy it brings. Alan Pownall has a really great voice.

Miami Atlanta by Pryda

A friend of mine just sent me this, it's a new release by Pryda Productions, a.k.a. Eric Prydz. It's a pretty sweet dance mix with some seriously awesome drops. Enjoy

Stereo Love by Edward Maya feat. Alicia

My buddy and I listened to this song about 10 times on our way down to UNC this weekend....soo sickkkk

Youtube Converter

I haven't figured out yet how to embed mp3 files into my posts so for now just use http://dirpy.com/ to convert the songs from youtube into mp3s.  Just copy and paste the youtube URL into the dirpy bar and it'll download right onto your iTunes for your own listening pleasure.  YEAH!!

Oh and some videos don't always work with Dirpy...if that's the case go to http://video2mp3.net/ and it usually works...Dirpy is generally faster and more efficient though.

Shutterbug by Big Boi

Can't get this beat outta my head bubbabububbabubababum

Daily Dubstep

I'll be providing daily dubstep tracks because dubstep is fucking ill. Check out this remix of Muse's classic Knights of Cydonia...Nostalgia (not really sure who that is) kills it. Absolute heater
